Story

**** You can now follow us via our blog - http://itm-tafftrail.blogspot.com/ ****

The ITM Team Cycle 2010 is the brain-child of Gary Oldacre and a culmination of Memory Walks and the inaugural Brecon to Cardiff cycle ride of friends and colleagues from Veolia Water, Cardiff.

My mother Ann, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Dementia at the tender age of 58. On Saturday 4th September 2010 we are looking to cycle a combined total of 330 miles through South Wales. I will also be looking to do six Memory Walks during September - Newport, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff, Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil and Blaenau Gwent. All the money we raise is going to support the Alzheimer’s Society here in Wales, with special consideration going to younger people with dementia.

So please dig very deep into your pockets for what is a very worthwhile cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
