Story

Our three trusted soul’s Gareth Mee, Greg King and Sean Woods or grouply known as “The lunatics” have only gone and blown a gasket !!! What have they done ? I here you cry….They have committed to (well, at least entered) The IRONMAN 70.3 UK Exmoor. This has now become one of the most iconic races in the world. As you would expect from a  troop of recruitment consultants the competitive instinct kicked in and they enrolled what is widely considered one of the toughest 70.3 Ironman course in the world , this was not the plan …. the easier Course’s were all fully booked, so not a great start.

So what lays ahead for our illustrious
triathletes?

We start with a 1900m  swim in a crystal clear Wimbleball Lake, apparently this is flat and the last horizontal surface to be witnessed for the next 6-8 hours, a swift transition onto the bike and they have a 56 mile bike ride in front of them, this includes 52 hills and  2000 meters of climbing and is quoted as a  “energy-sapping, leg-burning, roller coaster ride” and hopefully still full of the vigor's of life  a little 13.1 mile half marathon and just to make it a bit of a challenge this is cross country. I don't think the 30 places up for grabs for the 2016 IRONMAN world champs are in danger of being acquired by this motley crew.
