Story
To support Irwin Mitchell’s Sheffield office charity of the year, The Children’s Hospital Charity, a small band of crazy cycle enthusiasts, will be taking on what is possibly one of the toughest cycles in the UK!
Our team will be taking on the famous hills in the Peak District aiming to cover 100km in a single day but with a big difference – the route contains no less than 17 climbs and will cover an astonishing 3,120m of elevation gain. To put it in to perspective it’s like cycling up Mount Snowdon 3 times! Or a third of Mount Everest!
On the 8th Oct (possibly 15th if the weather is inclement) the team will set off as the sunrises with the aim to complete the challenge before the sun sets again. But with the days drawing in and with gradients of up to 20%, time and possibly our own fitness and ability to cycle up-hill all day will create a challenge that even the most experienced riders in the group will find tough!
Our team consists of Sarah Holdsworth, Stuart Robinson, Kathy Atkinson, James Jones and Mark Tredgett . We would love to raise as much money as possible for The Children’s Hospital Charity, so please help us to complete this challenge by sponsoring us as much as you can – thank you! :)
