Story
Harambee for Kenya (H4K) does amazing work helping children in Kenya who have been living rough on the streets. Sadly, many children are orphaned or thrown out by parents who can't afford to care for them. These highly vulnerable children are left to scavenge through rubbish dumps for food, and have nowhere to shelter.
H4K provides safe houses in areas of high youth homelessness, caring for these children and putting them back on their feet. They take children off the streets to a place of safety, where they can sleep, be fed and clothed, and receive an education. H4K's work transforms their lives.
But caring for 70 growing kids is not cheap. Between the costs of food, clothing, medication, and education, it costs £2000 every month just to cover these basic needs.
So we at Immersive are cycling non-stop for 24hrs, hoping to cover a distance of 450km (the road journey between two of H4K's safehouses), in aid of this amazing charity. If we can raise just £2 per kilometre cycled – the company will match our donation so that your money goes twice as far for a good cause – we can help these safehouses stay open as refuges for those who so desperately need them.
Come along for the ride!
