Dear friends and friends of friends and anybody who is for some reason reading this right now,

I need your support on a very special and challenging journey for me!

I am going to Zambia in February as a volunteer on a development programme, part of International Citizen Service (ICS). I will stay there until the end of April and work alongside other volunteers from both the UK and Zambia on a project that aims to educate young people on sexual health and rights and on ways to improve their employment and livelihoods.

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.
I need to raise 800 GBP for Restless Development who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. The funds will ensure that next year more inspired young people like me can go abroad and volunteer. You can check out their amazing work here http://restlessdevelopment.org/.

And here is the fun part - I am accepting challenges from people as long as they will donate!

You can challenge me to:

• not drink on a night out
• not eat meat for a week (very tough one for me!)
• keep silence for a certain period of time
• finally draw that portrait of you that I had promised
• dye my hair blue
• anything that comes to your mind really

We can make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!
