Story
Anyone who has ever met me will know I’m always late! Now I’ve found the perfect excuse - I’m walking 35 miles from Billericay to the City. 35 miles!
We start at 6am and after 5 miles I pass my house (how depressing!), then it’s through Brentwood heading out to Chigwell & an extended route via the Olympic stadium & finally arriving in the City about 12 hours later.
Previously the furthest I have walked is from the pub to home, and I can’t even remember doing that!
Futures for Kids is made up of 4 charities, two in Britain and two abroad:
Demelza Hospice Care for Children supports almost 800 life-limited
children and their families across South East London, East Sussex,
and Kent.
Since 1949, Variety has been giving children who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged, the chance to live enriched, independent lives, through the provision of Variety Sunshine coaches, wheelchairs and specialist equipment for individuals.
HOPEHIV support 50,000 children and young people across sub-Saharan Africa who have been orphaned or affected by HIV/AIDS.
More than 24 million children grow up without parental care, their survival often threatened by greater risk of malnutrition, violence and abuse, Every Child’s vision is for children to enjoy a childhood in a safe and caring family free from poverty, violence and exploitation.
I have never done anything like this before and I would really appreciate your support.
