Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In January this year we were given the news that no parent
should ever hear. At 30 weeks pregnant we were told Hugo’s heart had stopped
beating. There are no words to describe how hard those words were to hear. From
that point forwards our lives have changed as we are negotiating the challenges
that face us. The impact on day-to-day life is something unimaginable. We have
to be strong for George at the same time as grieving/mourning and returning to
what our new normal is.
The support from friends and family has been much needed and
appreciated. From the moment we had the news we have been supported by the
Forget-Me-Not bereavement team in the maternity unit at DCH, this support has
been invaluable. They have supported us through Hugo’s birth through to his
funeral and beyond. They have helped us make some very hard decisions at a very
dark time.
We have setup this just giving page in Hugo’s memory to
raise money to help the Forget-Me-Not team. This will help a little towards
them being able to support other families, educating/training the team and
other service providers and providing a library facility and outdoor space at
DCH for families to reflect.
Please if you can spare a little it will make a huge
difference.
