I'm fundraising for Marie Curie & Cancer Research UK at Swimathon 2020

Swimathon 2020 · 27 March 2020 to 31 December 2020 ·
Hope will be swimming triple 5K (600 lengths) over 3 days (Friday 27th - 29th March) at an organised event held by swimathon to help raise vital funds for Cancer research and Marie Curie
Hope successfully completed the 5K last year in a phenomenal time of 1:22.48 so has set herself a challenge to do the triple 5K this year swimming 5K each day over the 3 day event.
Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through research. They don’t receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like us.
Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in people’s homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.
Like many families we have had to see close family members deal with the heartache pain and devestation that this horrible disease can cause. Thankfully some of these family members have managed to fight and are now cancer free from the fantastic treatment they have received but sadly some have had their life’s taken far to soon.
Hope is doing this swim so other people hopefully don’t have to go through this hardship that cancer can cause and help raise vital funds for support and future research.
