Walking, jumping and running is easy on two legs!
However, many children in developing countries have lost limbs through accidents, war, violence and a lack of access to medical care. They can't walk, jump or run. Often they can’t even go to school.
This is why we are taking part in the Great Curry Run: to raise money for our family charity Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope – which provides prosthetics, medical and educational support for these vulnerable child amputees.
ELoH was set up by me, Sarah, and my twin sister Victoria five years ago after we lost our mother, Elizabeth, in a tragic road traffic accident. In the same accident, my youngest child Pollyanna lost a leg below the knee. Pollyanna and I are both running on Saturday!
Christopher, Sarah, Barnaby, Sapphire, Pollyanna and Rollo are taking part in a big family sponsored run at Sapphire's school - St George's in Harpenden. Please help us raise money for vulnerable child amputees in Africa and India. We are running a grand total of 50km between us!
Thanks to ELoH, we have already helped 300 children back on their feet - please give generously to help us help many more!
Thank you! With love, the Hope Family and cousin Rollo x
