Home-Start Warrington is a Family Support Charity supporting families with young children across the borough of Warrington.  Families are referred in to our service by Health Visitors, Mental Health professionals, and Sure Start Parent Involvement Workers, to name a few.  Families are referred for a variety of reasons, such as, Isolation, Stress, Mental Health issues, Drug and Alcohol dependancy and issues around children's behaviour.

Our volunteers, who are parents themselves, undergo an 8 week training course of preparation to enable them to support families that may have these issues.  Once the volunteers have trained and have an enhanced CRB, they choose a family they feel best able to support.  The matching process is very important as the Family and the Volunteer work together to give the children the best start in life.

In 2010, we hope to have 50 trained volunteers, who will provide 6000 hours support to the families in Warrington, per year.

We are wholly responsible for finding our own funding to provide this unique and valuable service, so your donation is very much appreciated.
