Story
Hi Everyone
I had this crazy idea last year that I wanted to run a marathon but never in my wildest dreams did I think I ever would.
Oh how wrong was I.....so on Sunday the 28th May I will be running 26.2 miles for our amazing children's hospice Claire House.
The hospice have been supporting us as a family for 15 years now as my daughter Holly was born with a rare genetic life limiting condition,I don't know what we would of done with out their support.
I have decided to dedicate each mile to a claire house child to spur me on as I know the daily battles my daughter goes through just to stay alive so running 26 miles is nothing compared to the challenges these amazing little super Heros go through each day.
Each family has given me £10.00 a mile which is wonderful and will go towards helping to build our new hospice which will be in Liverpool.
It's always been a dream of mine to have our own hospice in Liverpool as we have such a growing community of children with life limiting illness and they desperately need the support from a children's hospice.
Claire house is a truly magical place that the children love going to, the care they receive is so specialist and it really is second to none.
I stated running last February to try and help with lifting my mood but also to give me a new goal and purpose and help to easy the pressure of being a full time carer and I've never looked back it was the best desision I've ever made.
My training hasn't always been easy especially when I've had to run after a bad night with Holly but the end is in sight now and I promise not to give up and cross that finish line to show all the amazing children how special they are.
If you would like to donate I would be eternally grateful to you and thanks for taking the time to read my page.
