We fund research, provide support, campaign to bring more than hope to those affected.
Story
On
31 May, my good friend and equally foolish running buddy and I will be participating in the BUPA London 10000 - a
10km run on behalf of Pancreatic
Cancer .
When
choosing a charity that we wanted to benefit, Alexis and I had no hesitation in
choosing Pancreatic Cancer ,
having both lost someone very dear to us to the disease.Pancreatic
Cancer
is the only national charity dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer on all
fronts: through rmation,
support, awareness and research. The charity is committed to improving survival
rates for this most fatal cancer and works in partnership with specialists,
research scientists, GPs, patients and their families throughout the and beyond. One of the
charity's main aims is to fund research, particularly to improve early
detection, diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately quality and length of life
for future patients. In addition,
Pancreatic Cancer
runs a support network for today’s patients and their families and works to
ensure that they have access to the best possible rmation,
treatment and care.
This is a real
challenge for the both of us and the farthest that either of us have ever
attempted to run before, smashing my previous personal best… by about
10km! We’d like to finish in a respectable
time of just over an hour, even if that means dragging each other over the
finish line!
Any
contribution you would like to make to support us and this incredibly important
charity are hugely appreciated. Give
generously and we’ll do you proud :)
For my Uncle
Pete, much missed and loved alwaysx x x

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months.
That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.
