Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 1901the Christie hospital was given its name in honour of Richard Christie and his wife Mary. From its very beginning the Christie has provided invaluable care and support for those with cancer and their families (which includes my Mum). Not to mention the ground-breaking research and development it leads in the fight for a future without cancer.
Nothing that I could ever achieve would ever come close to what the Christie has but I want to try and offer my support in my own way. To say thank you and to do my part in the fight against cancer.
I am going to run a half, full or ultra marathon a month for every ten years that Christie has been helping people. This starts on June 12th with the 'Potters Arf'. I run the Ashbourne Half in July, the Newark half in August, the Great North Run in September, the Manchester Half in October and so on :)
