Story
Well - we did it! Out of our group of 20, 15 made it to Uhuru including Hasu and myself and 3 to Gilman's - a great success rate. The group of guides ,porters and cooks were amazing - always smiling and very helpful. The weather was great but a little dusty - dry and sunny and no rain. The sky at night was spectacular. Our group got on well together even though we didn't know everyone from the outset. All in all it was a great experience and I was thrilled to see that Hasu made it to the top without any problems

As many of you know, in August of this year, I'm taking a group to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for BEHT, a charity that assists in alleviating poverty and sickness and promotes the advancement of education in rural Gujarat. They have recently built a hospital to provide basic and emergency healthcare to the rural population and the funds raised from this project will be used to buy vital equipment for this hospital.
I successfully climbed Kilimanjaro in 2008, and this time will be greater challenge as I will be helping others to get to the top and achieve their personal challenges.
BEHT is a small charity with no paid personnel and minimal administration costs, so you can be assured that all your generous donations will go directly towards the project.
So please dig deep and donate now. Donating through just giving is easy, secure and tax efficient. Thanks once again for your support.
