I have been epileptic for only 20 years. Its relentless, the available medication is not effective for me, my vagal nerve implant stops the larger tonic clonic seizures but not the Peti Mal seizures. 

It's meant I've had to give up a job I loved, I can't drive and always have to think if any activity is safe for me to do.

I love running, when I've finished!! I run with a great inclusive club, Onthe Run Aylesbury, without them I wouldn't be attempting this half marathon.

Research has moved treatments forward massively over the last 50 years. Anything you are able to give will mean that maybe in another 50 years no one will know what epilepsy is. Here's hoping .
