We are a group of Gynaecology Oncology consultants and junior doctors at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Our department has recently launched an appeal called "Gynae VOiCE". We aim to raise funds for local gynaecology cancer care in Norfolk, and at the same time, to raise awareness of these devastating, but often taboo diagnoses. 

VOiCE stands for some of our commonest cancers: Vulval, Ovarian, Cervical and Endometrial (womb) cancers. The earlier these cancers are diagnosed, the better chance we have of curing our patients and giving our ladies long, healthy lives after treatment. However, gynaecological problems are often ignored, appointments at the doctor are put-off, and diagnosis can often be too late. 

In time, we hope the VOiCE appeal will be able to fund:

• A surgical retractor to help further advance the department's nationally renowned ovarian cancer cytoreductive surgery service
• PinPoint laparoscopic surgery equipment to develop the department's local Sentinel Lymph node programme for Endometrial and Cervical cancer
• the local Norfolk & Norwich support group  "Pandora's Box"

We are taking part in Ride the night 2017. This is a charity 100km bike ride through the streets of London in the middle of the night, preferably in lots of fancy dress, high visibility outfits. We would be hugely grateful for your donations and support.
