Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you will all know, Phil and I have the lovely Lucy (our 6 year old black labrador) who we re-homed 18 months ago. She is an absolute gem and fairly much goes everywhere with us (it's amazing how often our walks end with Lucy literally leading us into a pub!!). Lucy has given us a lot of joy, particularly because she's very affectionate and loving. She's going to be brilliant company for me whilst Phil's in hot and sandy places, although she will go absolutely bananas when she sees him after he's been away for 6 months!!
I've decided that I need a few things to keep me occupied while Phil's enjoying the temporary change of scene, and one of them is running the British 10k London run which is on July 10th. This is the first race that we ran together back in 2005, and I am going to beat my previous time of 55 minutes. I'm going to run it for the Hounds for Hero's, which is a great charity providing disability dogs to members of our armed services and civilian emergency services. It's not very well known but has done some amazing work since it started a couple of years ago. Please go to their website to get an idea of what they get up to - www.houndsforheros.com
