Story
Since the EAAA's launch in 2000 it has attended over 20,000 lifesaving missions. The crew comprises specialist prehospital doctors and critical-care paramedics, operating two high-tech helicopters and two rapid response vehicles from its Norwich and Cambridge bases. The charity needs to raise £11m per year to keep its helicopters airborne, attending an average of 4-5 call outs a day, 365 days a year, at an average cost of £3.5k per flight.
The EAAA is this year's official charity for Musketeer Event Management, organiser of Houghton International (and Burnham Market International, where the camels also raced recently). As MEM's Media Officer, and with a passion for both camels and helicopters, I could hardly not take part. See this link for ITV Anglia footage from Burnham Market: goo.gl/lV5zsM
Please give anything you can to this lifesaving organisation - none of us know when we might need its services. It is 100% funded by donations, with no government backing whatsoever. It doesn't matter how small a donation, it all makes a difference... although patently, an incredibly large donation would also be fantastic!
