Story
I've always wanted to swim the Channel and have been waiting until I was 16 years to do this. I wanted to raise money for our friend Clare Cosson who has just had a stem cell transplant. She encouraged me to raise money for Anthony Nolan Trust.
Hamish my friend and neighbour agreed to join me in a two way relay. Since I dislocated & fractured my elbow in February, Daddy and Stevie (my uncle) have joined us to make sure we get to France!
It's not been easy training everyday. The sea hasn't got much warmer! It takes 18 hours to cross the Channel. We will swim 1hr each in rotation. Day and night. Here's hoping for fair weather (and no jellyfish!!?). Please help us reach or target.
Thank you so much Hettie and Hame
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
