We learnt of the Matt Hampson Foundation through our interest in rugby (watching Leicester Tigers, coaching, occasionally refereeing but all of us too old to play!). We have been inspired by Matt's story (brilliantly told in the book 'Engage'), by the work the Foundation has done for people with serious injuries and by the countless examples of people who have undertaken activities to raise money and awareness for the foundation. Three of us live in London and we had previously discussed the idea of cycling home from one of the Tigers' matches. We realised that we could combine this with making a small contribution towards the good work done by the Foundation. Therefore, we are cycling from Leicester to London after the Nottingham match on Saturday 25th August. We will set off early Sunday 26th August and aim to be home in London by evening Monday 27th August.
