We provide mental health training to help people look after their wellbeing

Story

On 13th November I am set to follow in Pheidippides's footsteps and run the Athens Marathon to raise money for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.

Suicide is one of the major problems amongst young people in the world today. As many of you will know, my best friend Jake Pirie died in 2013 and I am dedicating this run to him. Having asked the Pirie family to suggest a charity to raise money for, they suggested the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust.

The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust seeks to help young people look after their mental well-being and too recognise signs of depression in themselves and their friends. It does this by giving talks at schools and universities, and also by providing training to identify depression.

This is a charity that is both close to my own heart and to that of the Pirie family and so any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
