We are very lucky to have places in this year's Great North Run and we want Cancer Research UK to benefit from the opportunity we have been given - to run 13 miles from Newcastle Upon Tyne to the coast at South Shields. Our Dad was born in South Shields and we know the area quite well, having spent many family holidays in Northumberland. We have been training hard and are now quite excited to be joining approx 55000 participants on 11th September and to experience the famous Geordie welcome and support.
