Having 2 children with complex additional needs, it's not easy to get out and about and we're very limited in where we can go for safety reasons.  Camp Mowhawk has been a complete lifeline for our family, somewhere the children can be themselves without fear of judgement and have opportunities to make friends in a very safe and stimulating environment.  The staff are amazingly understanding and so supportive, I don't know how I'd have got through the last 5+ years without them and I know many families feel the same!

Knowing what a difference Camp Mohawk makes to me and the boys, John decided he wanted to do a bit of fundraising for them.  He started off by saying he'd grow a goaty and dye both that and his hair the brightest pink he can find, but if the fundraising goes well, he's agreed to go much further.  Depending on how well it goes we could be adding pink makeup and we could be dressing him up as a fairy, princess or just something very pink (depends what we can get our hands on!).  Please please help us really have some fun with him, the boys would be absolutely made up to have a beautiful photo of daddy all dressed up!! LOL
