Story
Hi guys
Thanks for visiting my page. Ever agreed something over a bottle of wine then in the cold light of day wondered what you had let yourself in for?
Anyway there’s no backing out of it now. Myself and some friends are walking Hadrian’s Wall in September, a mere 84 miles, ranging I've been told from 12 to 19 a day, but to be honest I'm trying not to think about the numbers too much!!
As some of you know I volunteer at FareShare South West and I thought this would be a good opportunity to raise some much needed money for them.
They are a great charity working with the food industry to minimise waste and redistribute it to some of the most vulnerable people in our society.
35,500 people eat a meal made with FareShare food every day. Without them the food would have just been filling up our landfill sites. They are staffed mainly from volunteers like me and always need more help, so if anyone is interested visit the website below.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks for reading and if you can spare a few quid it would be much appreciated and will be a great motivator when the rain is pelting down and the wind is in our faces.
