I have managed Bridgend Carers Centre for over  12 years. During that time I have worked with fantastic staff who are really passionate about supporting unpaid carers across Bridgend.  I have loved doing my job even through the ups and downs and the challenges.

I retire in a year's time and wanted to start my final year doing a personal challenge by facing my fear and doing a zip wire across the Old Tower Colliery site at the Heads of the Valley.  I will hopefully raise money for the most amazing charity and one I love.

At Bridgend Carers Centre we give unpaid carers across Bridgend County information, advice and support to enable them to continue caring for loved ones. We also provide benefits advice, debt support and grants to help families during the cost of living crisis. We also provide activities to give carers a well earned break.   We also have a team of specialist staff supporting young and young adult carers, armed forces and veteran carers, parent carers and carers supporting loved ones with dementia and cancer.
