Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year has seen a huge effort to raise money for NSPKU by Team Muncer. Andy, along with his sisters and their partners, completed the Torbay half marathon in June. Now it is my turn as I have registered and been training for the Bristol Half Marathon. I have Bethan's Godmummy Bernie to thank for this as she is also taking part and raising money for NSPKU. Now comes the question most of you must be asking yourselves – why do a crazy thing like that?
As most of you will be aware my two beautiful girls, Rebekah and Bethan, have the very rare condition of PKU which effects one in ten thousand children. Since the day of their diagnosis we have had to learn how to make sure that Bethan and Rebekah grow up normally and help them learn about their ‘special tummies’. The NSPKU is a vital source of information and support for our family so I want to help this charity in their work. It is my hope for my girls that one day the NSPKU will find a way that Rebekah and Bethan can eat whatever they want. The mental image of them eating fish, meat and cheese helps me get out the house and train and be determined to do this personal challenge.
Please help this to become a reality for Rebekah and Bethan by donating as much as you can to this great cause.
