I have been a Guide dog owner for over 11 years, and would like to support the charity that has enabled me to regain my independence. The two guide dogs that I have had, firstly Izzy and now Alfie, have enabled me to lead a full and varied life; visiting friends and family independently, using buses, trains and planes.

My guide runner, Mandy, threw this challenge in my direction; and I decided it was time to come out of my comfort zone.

Whilst undertaking this challenge we are aiming to raise £2000. This run will push me well out of my comfort zone. Time will tell whether this will be my last marathon or it will be the start of many.
