Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

This event is taking place during the Droitwich Spa Summer Arts Festival. Victoria Square, the centre of Droitwich Spa will be covered in knitting and the grand reveal will take place on Saturday 27th June and will remain in place for two weeks. Seats and benches will be soft and springy to sit on, lampposts and signposts will be warm and cosy , bunting will hang from buildings, the letter box will be wearing a hat and all sorts of other knitted delights will be discovered in the area and in local shop windows too.

Please donate on our Just Giving Page which is specifically for Brain Tumour Research. This is the Cinderella of Cancer Research – of course not all brain tumours are malignant. There is a very low cure rate of 16% and there are over 120 different types of brain tumour and no current cancer research translates to these tumours. Brain tumours kill more men under 45 than prostate or any other cancer and kill more women under 35 than breast or any other cancer. The aim of this charity is to establish at least 7 centres of excellence throughout the UK. At the moment there is only one centre and this is at the University of Portsmouth.  Please give to this very valuable research.  Thank you.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
