Helen's next challenge

Great North Run 2021 · 12 September 2021 ·
In September 2019 my mum died because of pancreatic cancer. She was 83 and had a good, fit and mostly healthy life until she was diagnosed in 2018. She chose not to have treatment.
Pancreatic cancer is a tough one. It’s tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research and tough to survive. Pancreatic Cancer UK want to make sure that everyone affected by the disease gets all the help they need. They are investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight.
PCUK were one of the organisations who supported my family and so the least I can do is run to raise money to help them continue to take on pancreatic cancer.
