Story
I am taking part in the Oxfam Trailtrekker which is a 100 kilometre walk across the Yorshire Dales on the 1st and 2nd June 2013 which has to be completed within 30 hours. The route has a total ascent of 2,300 metres which is the equivalent of doing Ben Nevis and Snowdon combined! Ony 75% of people manage to achieve the gold award of 100 kilometres and only 35% of all teams manage to complete it with their full team of 4.
I am worried about walking at night and whether I will be able to stay awake and keep walking for 30 hours. I am also concerned about the state that my feet could end up in and whether all my joints will stand up to the endurance. It will be interesting to see which part of me falls apart first as long as it is not too painful!
I will give it my best shot as all the money raised goes to Oxfam and will help them fight poverty worldwide. Please therefore help me to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
