Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm taking to the Fourth Plinth on Wednesday 16th September at 7pm and I'm going to try and raise awareness of prostate cancer. Cancer of the prostate is the most common cancer in men in England and causes about one in four of all new male cancers, yet a huge number of men (and women) don't even know what the prostate is, where it is, or what it does.
My Dad is currently undergoing chemotherapy and hormone therapy in response to the discovery of prostate cancer and I want to use my time on the plinth to raise awareness of just how many men are diagnosed each year - that's 35,000 folks. Male cancers are woefully underfunded and I'd like to try and do my bit to rectify that.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please give whatever you can, no matter how small.
Thankyou so much!
