Story
I know. It's a ridiculous thought. Me, a rucksack, a pair of walking boots and the dangers of altitude sickness! The comedy value alone should deserve a donation! I've even joined a gym as I realised that this would be even harder than a muddy Glastonbury, and the lack of hair straighteners was going to take time to prepare for!
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Between 25th September and 4th October 2010 I will be trekking the Inca Trail as part of Macmillan's Peru Hiking Challenge. The 10 day challenge will take us through cloud forest to a 4200m Andean peak, trekking along high mountain passes to Machu Picchu, Peru's famous lost city of the Incas. We will be trekking in remote and dramatic conditions. The event and the months of preparation will be tough but I am doing this in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I have to raise a mimimum of £3500 to take part in this event, of which at least 65% will benefit Macmillan who provide the practical and emotional support that makes a real difference to people living with cancer.
