Story
Cancer is cruel at the best of times but for those fighting it during the Covid pandemic, like our lovely Step-Dad/Grandad/friend, Norman Waller, it’s been unbearable.
Norm, 66, has bowel cancer which has spread to the lungs. Despite enduring chemo in lockdown which has made him feel very poorly, he never complains. Instead he’s continued with online work as a District and Parish Councillor in North Yorkshire. Serving the community as he did for 30 years with the police force. Norman is known to everyone in Tockwith because for decades he’s been on-hand to deal with virtually any problem and never tires of organising the wonderful Tockwith Show. To us though, Norman is a loved family member, and we want to do something positive to help. Walking a hilly marathon in the Dales will be a challenge, but we will get through it as a team, remembering each step raises money for Macmillan Cancer Care. Any donation, no matter how small, will go some way towards giving Norman, and thousands of others, a better quality of life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support 🙏🙏
