We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

I am running the Cambourne 10k on Sunday 11th April. If I could raise some money for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund in memory of my mum, it might just feel worthwhile getting out of bed that morning.

Pancreatic cancer causes 5% of UK cancer deaths, yet it only receives 1.6% of cancer research funding spend

40 yrs ago few children survived childhood leukaemia. Now the survival rate is 80%
40 yrs ago only 46% of women diagnosed with breast cancer survived five years. Now that figure is also 80%
40 yrs ago 3% of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer survived five years or more. That figure is
still 3%

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you.

RCN 1155322
Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
