Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. I have now been training steadily for about 6 months with my two friends Carrie and Gillian. There was still snow on the ground (back in February) when we started pounding the streets of South Tyneside !

We joined a running club and it's great fun.

Alzheimer's Disease is close to my heart probably because of the job I do. As you may know I work on an assessment ward for people with Dementia and it is just so sad the devastation that this disease causes to sufferers and their families. Although there is no cure yet there is still a lot that can be done to help people affected by Dementia and this is where the Alzheimer's Society comes in.

It is a fantastic charity and I will feel so proud in championing their cause on the day of the run.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
