Story
Giles suffered a serious life-changing acquired brain injury in 2005. After time in intensive care and then six months neuro-rehabilitation, he was able to come home. He then started to attend Headway three days per week and this continued until he had to move into residential care in August 2022.
Giles loved his days at Headway and made many new friends amongst the other clients and the support staff. He particularly enjoyed the activities especially the quizzes and day trips, pub lunch outings and the sporting activities, especially the disability cricket.
The support that both Giles and we as a family received from Headway was amazing and we will never forget the kindness of the team there.
If you would like to make a donation in memory of Giles for Headway Birmingham and Solihull it will specifically go towards funding activities for the clients there, and we hope they will find as much pleasure in them as Giles did.
