Two weeks ago, a retired vet brought to my attention the story of Haida https://www.vettimes.co.uk/news/i-want-a-future-afghan-vet-forced-into-hiding-calls-for-uk-help/     and asked if GHDT could help. In addition to wanting to get her to safety as soon as possible I thought she could be a big help to GHDT and to the University in The Gambia by helping with lecturing and building veterinary capacity. The plan is to prepare her for her MRCVS exams so that she may one day be able to work in UK. We have had offers of help from vets to help her with this. I approached the Gambian immigration office and they have given her a visa. We now need to raise the money to pay for her flight. It is her birthday on the 29th of March and we have promised her a celebration in The Gambia. Could you help her to be there for it? Every little bit helps and if we all contribute a little it will soon add up.  Thank you so much!
