Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have a very brave nephew called Ben Reep who is 8 years old. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour 2 years ago having had trouble writing with his right hand. He had a long operation which removed most of the tumour and his hand got better. Now the tumour is being monitored. His right hand has caused him problems again so now, can you believe it, he has learnt to write with his left! He has endured numerous hospital visits, MRI scans (without sedation) and has never complained. He's wicked at table tennis, fab at football and very brainy! Specialists are unsure whether he should have chemotherapy or further surgery so the money raised will go directly towards research to find the answer and hopefully a cure. If Ben can endure all this then his knobbly knee'd Auntie Hazel can get herself around 26 miles! Ben's cousins are also fundraising. Pippa and Ellie are doing a sponsored 'no chocolate for a month' and Andrew 'no DS for a month'. Adam 'no fizzy drinks' for a month. Ben's brother, James and sister, Sophie, together with their 4 cousins, have all counted out sweets and made up 5 enormous jars of sweets to get donations to 'guess the number of sweets in the jar'. The Ampthill Mum's Calendar Girls calendar organised by Ben's Mum, Karen, and her fabulous friends has been a big hit! Thanks to all who have donated.

Please help us to help Ben and others like him. Thank you.
