Team Langside have set ourselves another challenge - this time a Gold Challenge! We are challenging ourselves to take part in a number of different olympic sports to raise money for the charity that runs the school, Diverse Abilities Plus. All the money raised by the Langside team will be put towards a very special project - buying a new minibus.

 

Langside is a school for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties many of whom have additional complex medical needs. Our vision is to see our pupils fully included in our community and in order to do this we need transport. We currently own one vehicle that enables us to take out six pupils in wheelchairs and we’re raising funds to buy another specially adapted vehicle which will enable more of our pupils to get out into the community. 

 

The Langside Gold Challenge team includes: John Ashby, Nadine Coates, Debbie Coombes, Paul Humphries, Nicki Priddle, Hazel Thomas, Ali Trim, Sophie Vye and Liz Wilson. We’ll keep you up to date on who is trying each sport - and will try to get some photo’s up here too.
