28.3.11  Thanks everyone, I achieved my target (so extended it) and there are still a few donations to come in.  Your support is greatly appreciated - by me and by Genesis Trust.  Thanks, everybody!

7.3.11  I did it!!!  And achieved a "PB" (personal best) - this time, it took me 2 hours 16 mins 53 seconds.  And I can still walk, the next day, always a bonus.

27.2.11 Ran round the loop on the course today (about 5.5 miles).  Will have to do this part x2 on the day.  Now shorter  runs commence!

22.2.11 Last long run today - about 8 miles, up and down some hilly terrain so more demanding.  Could hardly walk next day.  The Half course is flat.  Should do it with ease.

12.2.11  Three weeks to go!  Am running well and putting in more hours on the feet than last year.  No faster, but it's easier to keep running and not walk when I get tired or bored.  A side benefit is that I've lost 2 or 3 kg - yay!

24.1.11  Weather is better.  Managing to cycle a lot more now.  Builds strength.

INTRO: Thanks for visiting my 2011 JustGiving page. This is my second Bath Half; I also ran the Bristol Half in September 2010 (glutton for punishment, or what?).  I did both the previous half marathons in 2 h 22 mins with little training.  This year I hope to shave a few minutes off that time.

I'm again raising funds for Genesis Trust, a local charity which helps vulnerable people.  Fundraising for Genesis will provide facilities so that some of the most disadvantaged residents in Bath can enjoy what most people take for granted; give them skills to move on; and help get their lives back on track.

I raised about £500 last year.  I'd like to do better than that this year.
