Story
Six years ago I learnt all about Brain Tumours in the hardest way and because of my continuing journey with this illness I feel compelled to do something to try and help this charity fund vital research. If the money i can raise helps just one family get through their journey then it is worth every penny (and every footstep of the 80km journey!)
In August 2008 my father was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent an immediate operation to remove. Just a week later we were given the devastating news that it was terminal and he could expect to live for only 6 months. He then received the maximum amount of radiotherapy and chemotherapy a person can have. From the very beginning he has been so brave and has refused to give in maintaining that he was not dying and was just ill. Nearly 6 years later he is still fighting his fight and his consultant calls him their "walking miracle" To me and my family he is an inspiration.
I am so proud of him but know how devastating and far reaching the effects of this illness is on him and our family. Every penny raised for the vital research that this charity does is worth so much.
I am eternally grateful for any contribution and support you can offer as it all helps!
