Story
Hi Everyone!
Ashley and I are going to be walking and/or running 5 miles around the New Forest in order to raise some money for the Rose Road Association! The Rose Road Association is a Charity who provide respite care and outreach for Children who have learning and physical disabilities.
As you may know, Ashley has a severe learning disability and faces challenges every day that no one will ever understand or know. I am so proud of my little brother, recently he has moved into his very own house and is thriving! He has started going running and walking with his support workers and I thought, what a way to celebrate his achievements and to challenge Ash by getting us to complete a race to raise some money for a charity close to both of our hearts!
When Ashley was 16 years old, Rose Road offered Ashley a much needed space to have some respite, which he loved! And still 9 years later he talks about his time there and how much he enjoyed it! I too have been privaliged to work for Rose Road when I was at university as an Outreach support worker which I adored! I got to work with some of the most amazingly courageous children and thier parents.
The Rose Road Association is a Charity therefore is reliant on funding, donations and fundraising to continue to offer a sanctury to the children who use and need thier service!
So please, if you are able, sponsor Ashley and I to complete this event! No amount is too small!
Lots of Love, Hayley and Ashley!
