Earlier this year, my wonderful sister in law, suffered the loss of her cousins 7 year old son, Freddie. They were incredibly close and it hit her and my sister hard.

In turn, Craig and I were deeply saddened, it was too close to home. Our Amazing Alex, is only 8 and the very thought of how life would be without him, brought about a pain that no parent should ever have to imagine, let alone live through.

The Bodie Hodges Foundation, work with bereaved parents and families by helping them through their grief in the most difficult of times. Freddie's parents are part of the team and we would like to do whatever we can to support them and the charity.

So Team Walker will be donning our Santa Suits, and heading for Leicester Racecourse to run alongside approx 500 other santas all there to raise funds.... Anyone that knows me, knows I am usually on the sidelines supporting the kids and Craig with whatever activity they are doing, however this time, its a team effort.

I understand, its Christmas. I understand that times are tough, and we all have to dig deep. Our aim, is to hit £100 as that will fund three 1-1 counselling sessions for families who are trying to work through the grief of losing a loved one. Anything that you can spare is truly appreciated.
