Story

Dewi is just 7 years old, 2 years ago at just 5 years old he was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome. There is no cure, just treatment and the hope that the treatment will work and that by the time he's in his teens he'll grow out of it. (Although this isn't always the case) The treatment is usually with high dose steroids and has nasty side effects. They effect him physically and emotionally. He also takes other medication which cause other issues and this disease has changed this little boys life. When he asked me the other day when he would be cured? I couldn't answer. He asked me how we could find a cure? So I showed him the research work that the charity does. He said 'Mam, we need to find a cure and raise money'. So here we are.

Bring your kids, mothers, fathers, brothers, dogs and climb for Dewi and others like him. If you can't do the walk, please, please dig deep and donate to find a cure for this horrible, horrible disease.

Weather permitting Saturday 29th April 2017  @ 10am.

Nephrotic Syndrome (NS) affects approx 10,000 people in the UK, majority are children, with no known cause or cure. The current treatment is non-specific and highly toxic, with many potentially life-threatening complications. NeST funds Bristol Children's Hospital in researching NS to find a cure.
