Many families have to travel miles to receive the right care for their children. That’s why, starting on Monday 23rd November, I am completing a 257K cycle over the course of 28 days (whilst working full time, 8:30-4:30, Monday to Friday) to raise money for an amazing charity called WellChild.

WellChild are a national charity who aim to give seriously ill children, who are described as having additional/complex health needs, the best chance to thrive properly, whilst being supported from the comfort of their own home. 

The target of 257K was set by one of the children WellChild supports, Oliver. Oliver’s family is just one of many who travels miles (his family complete a 160k round trip for Oliver’s care) to receive the care needed to support their child.

Supporting my Step Up challenge is a great way to help WellChild and to raise awareness of the distances many seriously ill children in the UK must travel for their care.
