Story
I would be really honoured if you could give generously to this volunteer-led UK-registered charity - 'Street Child of Sierra Leone'. This amazing charity aims to help children get off the streets, and into homes and schools. To mark Sierra Leone's 50 years of independence, the charity is hoping to raise a million pounds to build a better and brighter future for Sierra Leone's children. To help raise money for this worthy cause, I have taken on the challenge of running a half-marathon in Makeni, Sierra Leone on 9th June 2012.
To give you some idea of where your money goes, here are some examples:
£1 buys a child a pair of sandals.
£5 buys a rucksack, exercise books, pens and pencils for school.
£15 feeds a child twice a day for a month.
£40 pays for a child to attend school for an entire year.
£100 pays the monthly salary of a nurse or social worker.
Thanks in advance for all your support.
Hayley
