Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you are aware, this is a charity very close to my heart. In 2002, when I was just 15 years old, I lost my Mum to cancer. She was a sporty, mentally tough, lovely lady with a talent for art and textiles. This was an extremely difficult time for my family as it is for millions of other families who are affected by cancer. As well as raising money, I want to raise awareness for the great work that Cancer Research do to reduce the amount of deaths from all forms of cancer.
I have never run any really long distances and this training will be completely different to my usual gym routines for rugby. A personal challenge to not only get through the training and get on the start line but also to raise a massive £5000!
Throughout the year, I will be organising quizzes, squash tournaments, fun runs, cake sales and school events to raise as much as I can. However, I am also leaning on my friends and family to help me, not only with raising money but also to support me in my training... I am going to need all the help I can get. Please use your powers of social media (as I'm not on any) to send my link around.
Thank you,
Harry
