Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Unfortunately our little Harry has been diagnosed with Severe Brachycephaly, a defect which means his head has grown in a misshapen way. Whilst Brachycephaly will not harm Harry’s development it will mean he has to live with the deformity for the rest of his life and we worry about his appearance and self confidence in later life.

Severe Brachycephaly is treatable but not on the NHS, therefore we are appealing to our friends and family to help raise funds towards Harry’s treatment - a custom fitted helmet - which will encourage his head to grow/mould in a more natural way.

Harry has been assessed by Technology in Motion (a leading private health provider specialising in Brachycephaly) and it was found that the severity of his condition falls in the 101st percentile (severe). A ‘normal’ head shape should be up to the 83rd percentile.

Ian and I would love to help Harry with his condition however the cost of the helmet is £2750; an amount Ian and I do not have access to.

We have partnered with a charity, Tree of Hope, who help families like ourselves fundraise for specialist treatment and in doing so we are able to apply for 25% gift aid towards the total of Harry’s treatment.

Ian and I (and Harry, when he’s older) would really appreciate anything you are able to donate towards his treatment. We really appreciate times are hard at the moment but as they say, every little helps!

Please feel free to share our message far and wide and help Harry get his Helmet.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Chelsea and Ian
