Story
Hi everyone,
This year I've decided to take part in the University of Manchester 'purple wave' and run the Great Manchester run. I am not just running it for myself, however, I am also running it to raise money for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. This is a part of the MRI and I walk past it everyday when I am at Uni. They do some amazing work. You will often see worried looking parents and relatives rushing in only to be followed out by some who look seemingly more relieved. I cannot bear to think how I would feel if my children, in the future, were to be develop some sort of illness that required treatment. It would be a truly heart breaking thing to see.
While £100 may not seem very much it can help to buy toys and other things to distract these young children whilst they undergo some difficult medical procedures. Also, the money raised will help towards the £3.9m that the hospital is trying to raise in order to build a helipad so that those who are in need of emergency trauma care get it. You can check out more of their current projects here: http://www.rmchcharity.org.uk/why-help-us/current-projects
Anything you can give will help me to reach my goal and will help these children. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please share and it would be great to see some of you on 22nd May 2016 in Manchester as I try to beat my PB.
