Stand in Solidarity with Mums in Sierra Leone!, 11 December 2019
Help improve the health and nutrition of over 6,000 women and children in rural Sierra Leone with our Happy Mums, Happy Tums UK Aid Match appeal. Donations made before the 31st of December will be doubled by the UK government!

Story

One of the biggest challenges mums face in rural Sierra Leone is accessing a nutritious diet to give their babies and young children the best start in life. In Sierra Leone, over 30% of children under 5 are malnourished from a lack of nutritious food, and over 5% of pregnant and breastfeeding women have malnutrition from not having enough food. Health Poverty Action will support mums in taking charge of their families' health, community health workers to share knowledge around health and nutrition, and provide equipment and supplies to health clinics to diagnose and treat malnourished families - creating change that lasts beyond this project. Double your impact! All donations to Happy Mums, Happy Tums made before 31 December will be doubled by the UK government, up to £2 million! Match funds will support the health and nutrition of mums and young children in rural Sierra Leone, and public donations will support Health Poverty Action's work where it's needed most.
